Provincial Minister for Food and Minority Affairs Hari Ram Kishori Lal has said that the Sindh government is taking practical steps to ensure supply of food items across the province keeping in view the international standards of hygiene.
People are requested to contact concerned government department and identify individuals and entities involved in the sale of substandard goods so that legal action can be taken against them.
He expressed these views while addressing 1st International Global Food Summit & Chef Awards 2021 held at a local Hotel, here on today.
The event was organized by Australian Multicultural Charity , Global Food & Chefs Association.
This summit has focused on the theme “Action for Tharparkar ‘s Women & Children ” including, Workshops, Training Sessions , Culinary lessons, cooking contests and Awards Show.
The event worked as forum to bring general managers, catering managers, facility managers, chefs, nutritionists, commercial caterers, consultants and suppliers, Owners & Operators, Presidents & Executives, Buyers & Purchasing Agents, Caterers, Hoteliers, Industry Consultants, Brokers, Distributors, Procurement Managers, Hospitality Students & Educators, industry professionals, NGOs and many more fields to share knowledge and talk about Food industry & current situation about Tharparkar.
The Major aim of this event is to help the neglected and poor community specially Women & Children of Tharparkar.
It is worthwhile to mention that the Global Food Summit & Chef Awards take place digitally and broadcast live with Eight sessions and 47 speakers from nine countries.
On the occasion Minister Food & Minority Affairs Hari Ram Kishori Lal distributed the awards among the winners.
