Karachi; Administrator DMC East Syed Shakil Ahmed has imposed rain emergency in DMC East in view of the expected rain and directed the officers and staff to be present to provide relief to the citizens and fully active in the rain.
He expressed these views during inspection of De watering pumps and other arrangements.
He said that special arrangements should be made for drainage in that places where water was accumulated in the last rainy season and if needed dewatering pumps should be installed there in advance so that the public can be saved from trouble by ensuring drainage in time.
He said that in rain, he would play every possible role to provide facilities to the citizens.
Officers also should play their role by keep the staff active and the schedule should be issued immediately according to rain emergency and dewatering pumps including other arrangements should be kept complete.

He was accompanied by Director DM Tauqeer Abbas, Deputy Director Irshad Ali, Assistant Executive Engineer Muhammad Ibrahim, In-charge Debris Removal Rao Shamshad and others.
