Delegation of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Members of Provincial Assembly Sindh met with Karachi Police Chief on Friday to discuss the performance and issues regarding the police department in their respective constituencies.
MPA Malik Shehzad Awan informed Ghulam Nabi Memon about PTI Activist Khalil Mehsood Murder case and also appreciated the efforts of Mr. Memon for the appointment of competent SHO’s on merit in Ittehad Town, Saeed Abad, and Baldia town Police Stations.
Whereas Mr. Awan expressed concern over the investigation team of Ittehad Town Police Station, he stated that citizens are also disappointed with their performance.
He claimed that the investigation team of said Police Station is making the difficult the providence of justice and in the investigation process, they prioritize their personal interests.
During the discussion, PTI MPA urged for the appointment of honest police officers in Ittehad Town investigation team.
However Malik Shehzad Awan praised the performance of DIG West Dr. Amin Yousufzai & SSP West Shoukat Ali Khatian, he added that the said officers have taken action whenever he pointed out any issue.
A Press Statement issued by MPA Malik Shehzad Awan stated that Karachi Police Chief Ghulam Nabi Memon on assured PTI’s Delegation for the changing of Ittehad town Police station investigation team and informed that the inquiry has been continued against the corrupt officials of the police department.
PTI MPA Rabistan Khan and Dr. Saeed Afridi were also present on the occasion.
