Employmees of PTCL who were dismissed from their jobs forcibly expostulated before Awami Press Club Malir and sat down on road over unpaid facilities of medical and pension here on yesterday.

Expostulation was led by Ali Kalmaty, Shams Din, Abid Israr and other in which protesters were hailed strict slogans for the restoration of their medical and pension facilities holding banners and play cards in their hands.

On that occasion lead people addressed remonstraters and said that they had been forcibly retired and dismissed from their employment 13 years ago paying them 10 lacs but they have not been giving pension yet as per law but 20 thousands out of forty employees are paid being paid against their 20 years service but 20 thousands employees who have served department till 18 years have not been made eligible from pension.

They said that 7 members bench of Supreme Court ordered to issue pension to employees immediately but no implementation on that order yet.

They further said that as per law of Pakistan pensions able should have 10 years service in department and age be 60 years but PTCL has changed service years and converted into 20 years and deprived deserving pensioners.

They told that 7 thousands employees of Karachi are suffering from starvation and passing hard life who were forcibly dismissed from their jobs even many have lost their lives waiting for financial allowances.

They demanded from Chief Justice of Supreme Court, Prime Minister Pakistan to order PTCL administration for the restoration of forcibly retired employee’s pension on immediate basis.
