On the directives of Deputy Commissioner South, Irshad Ali Sodhar, a cricket match was organized between the cricket teams of polio workers working at UC level in District South at National Bank of Pakistan Sports Complex, Clifton, Saddar Town Polio workers Cricket team clinched victory by beating Lyari Town.
While delivering a message on the behalf of DC South Irshad Ali Sodhar in the prize distribution ceremony of the match, ADC I-Junaid Khan said that the polio workers are front line workers for anti-polio drive, therefore, this match has been organized to pay tribute to their services while promoting their mental and emotional health. He said that District has honor of showing top performance all over Karachi during the last three polio campaigns.
He vowed that District South would continue to work with the same diligence and dedication in the future and District would achieve the status of a model district,” he added.
He announced that in the future, the administration of District South would continue to organize such healthy activities to encourage their Polio workers and appreciate their services.
At the end of the match, ADC-I District South Junaid Khan handed over winner and runner up trophies and other prizes to the Cricket teams of Polio Workers.
