Private hotels and Marina Clubs personnel tortured beastly and injured fishermen of Ibrahim Haidery near Dingy peninsula who had gone for fish in sea yesterday morning.

Due to the barbaric assault 4 fishermen namely Abid, Ali Raza, Asif and Zubair became seriously injured to whom their fellow fishermen brought at Ibrahim Haidery.

Many women and men gathered at Ibrahim Haidery hearing about incident happened with fishermen and protested raising stern slogans against personnel with tears and aggression in their eyes where PPP ladies wing president Fatima Majeed reached and joined them.

On that occasion affected fishermen talked with journalists and told that first time they had gone to fish in sea in two boats of Aziz Ramzan after a easement in lock down due to corona virus and on their back towards homes  private hotels and Marina clubs personnel arrested and hostage them also injured them at Dingy Island fiercely with out any fault and cause.

They further told that fishermen are violated often having an excuse and treated strangers. They said that their only fault is to be poor and fish in sea to earn bread and butter for their family.

PPP Malir President of ladies wing Fatima Majeed talked on that occasion and said Bhandar and Dingy are historical islands and property of fishermen so for the defence of these fishermen struggled a lot but now unfortunately government has sold them to capitalist who have started building restaurants and clubs and closed the ways of fisherman which is violation of fishermen’s fundamental rights.

They demand government of Sindh, elected representatives and other concerned officers to have legal action against barbarian personnels who assaulted on fishermen with cruelty and have permission to fishermen for fishing in sea.
