Secretary Federal Ombudsman Lt Gen Ijaz Ahmed Khan has said that resolving public grievances in the Federal Ombudsman office is our top priority. The general public should be aware that no matter where the problem occurs, the Federal Ombudsman’s Office resolves their issues within 30 days without any compensation and attorneys. He said this while chairing a meeting in the Karachi office of the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat.

He said that the shortage of officers and other staff in the regional offices should be met and that there should be 100% recruitment on merit, so that the ordinary people should not have any problem in providing prompt and free justice.

Ijaz Ahmed Khan appreciated the Federal Ombudsman’s officials for their prompt resolution of the public grievances and assured them of the facilities.

Earlier, Syed Anwar Haider, Senior Advisor (Incharge) Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Karachi said in its brief that 14193 total cases have been resolved from January to December 2021, although some remaining cases will be resolved on time.

He added that the Federal Ombudsman offices in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur have been working actively while the proposal has been sent to the Head Office to open offices in Larkana and Mirpurkhas.
