Not to leave out any infant or child from being vaccinated against Polio : Rotaract Club Thar

Rallies and walks were organised in connection with the World Polio Day observed on Thursday in various cities across the province including Tharparkar. 

Rotaract Club Tharparkar organised a walk which began from the Civil Hospital Islamkot to the Islamkot Press Club.

The walk was led by District Health Officer Dr Gordhan Das and notable people including Dr Sagar Kumar Anandani, Secretary Rotaract Club Tharparkar and others, they shared that just because of vaccinators, Rotary Club Mithi and concern polio team Thar is free from polio and since 1999 a single case isn’t reported from district Tharparkar.

They also encouraged people to facilitate polio workers during the drive for vaccination as we can free Pakistan from Polio.

They said that international health organisations were making efforts to eradicate the disease from Pakistan. ‘We are trying hard not to leave out any infant or child from being vaccinated against polio.’ They said.
