Minister local Government Sindh Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has inaugurated the grand Karachi Peace Tape Ball Cricket Tournament in collaboration with DMC East, Sindh Police and Rangers at Kokan Ground Bahadurabad.
The opening ceremony was attended by Administrator DMC East Rahmatullah Sheikh, MPA Zulfiqar Shah,Special Assistant to CM sindh Iqbal Saand, former Captain Pakistan Cricket Team Moin Khan, former Chairman DMC East Moid Anwar, Administrator DMC Korangi Javed Rehman Kalwar, SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur, Director of Medicium Khurram Khalil Naini Talwala and others.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Minister LG Sindh Nasir Hussain Shah said that DMC East has organized a cricket tournament like a festival on which Administrator DMC East Rahmatullah Sheikh and others deserve for congratulations.
Such healthy activities should be continue in future, Our effort is to play every possible role in restoring the glory of Karachi via such events. He requested citizens to enjoy this big cricket event which will be in full swing in coming days, he said every type of sports teaches sportsman spirit therefore learn not only for health also the best sportsman’s sprit.
Speaking on the occasion, Administrator DMC East Rahmatullah Sheikh said that the promotion of sports is essential for the formation of a healthy society.
The purpose of organizing this tournament is also to attract youth to positive activities along with settling the grounds, He appreciated the services of Medicam for organizing such a big tournament.
Former captain Pakistan cricket team Moin Khan, Special Assistant to CM sindh Iqbal Saand and others praised Administrator DMC East Rahmatullah Sheikh and other team of DMC East and said that organizing karachi peace tape ball cricket tournament is a good effort to promote sports activities and such activities should be continue.
In KPTBCT 12 Teams are participating which will play matches eachothers on knock out basis,the final of the seven days tournament will be played on April 21.
