National Accountability Bureau -NAB on thursday arrested Geo and Jang Group owner Mir Shakeel ur Rahman.
According to details, NAB arrested Geo and Jang Media Group owner Mir Shakeel Ur Rahman. Mir Shakeel is accused of receiving 54 plot rebates from Nawaz Sharif.
Earlier, Mir Shakeel Ur Rahman was interrogated for 2 hours on March 5. Mir Shakeel Ur Rehman appeared before NAB for the second time today to answer NAB’s questions.
Sources say that Mir Shakeel was not able to answer NAB’s questions on illegal plots after which the NAB detained him.
According to NAB sources, Mir Shakeel Ur Rahman also added plots to land adjacent streets. During the Nawaz Sharif era, Mir Shakeel got a discount on 54 plots.
According to NAB, instead of answering questions, Shakil ur Rehman continued to threaten NAB, Mir Shakeel ur Rehman said that I am powerful and will teach NAB a lesson.
According to NAB sources, the power, gas and water bills of Mir Shakeel’s two houses were paid from the National Treasury. Mir Shakeel Ur Rahman could not satisfyNAB. It was likely that he would flee abroad.
