DG KDA Asif Ikram stated that he would try his best to get the department financially stable and urged to work hard to achieve this goal, he shared these views while speaking with a delegation of KDA Mazdoor Union headed by Chairman Abdul Mateen Shaikh.

A Press Statement of Union stated that DG KDA during a discussion said that he will monitor the performance of officers on a daily basis.

Whereas Abdul Mateen Shaikh informed Director General Karachi Development Authority –KDA about the financial loss of department due to lockdown and because of it KDA facing issues in payment of employees salaries and pensions.

Mazdoor Union Chairman demanded DG KDA for the opening of land and recovery department as per SOPs.

However, he also asked DG to take interest in the Governing body approved housing scheme and auction work to speed up its process as it could financially stable the department.

He stated that Banks and other government and private institutions are operating by following SOPs, KDA is one of the important public services institution.

If some of the departments of KDA would open as per SOPs then it would prove beneficial for both public and employees of KDA, he added.

Office bearers of Union Ashfaq Chishti, M.Anwar Sheikh, Farman Muhammad Khan, Shahid Ahmed , M Shoaib, Mumtaz Ali Rajput and others were also present on the occasion.
