Khidmat e Alam Welfare Trust join hands for a Tobacco Smoke Free Karachi

Karachi: Tobacco Smoke Free Cities Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination Government of Pakistan and Khidmat-e-Alam Welfare Trust launched a campaign against smoking.

In this regard, Khidmat-e-Alam Welfare Trust hold a meeting in Karachi office in which Coordinator Tobacco Control District Central Karachi Bilal Zafar, Project Manager Khidmat-e-Alam Welfare Trust Ali Sohaib, Marketing Manager Dr. Saeed Khan and Salman Himayat were present.

The purpose of the meeting was to work together with Civil Society Organisations to reduce the trend of smoking in Karachi and to conduct seminars on smoking hazards and cessation among children.

The Officials of Khidmat e Alam Welfare trust assured for their support in this noble cause to aware youth about the hazards of tobacco control. However they also praised the efforts of District Administration Central which is continuously taking initiatives under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner Muhammed Arslan Saleem who is also the head of District Implementation and Monitoring Committee for Tobacco Control in District Central.

While speaking on the occasion Ali Sohaib told that his organisation will support District Administration Central and Tobacco Smoke Free Cities Ministry of NHSRC to make Karachi a Tobacco Smoke Free Model City.
