Director General Karachi Development Authority Mr. Asif Ali Memon has said that in the light of the orders of the Supreme Court(SC) , the operation will launched with a better strategy to demolish illegal structures on KDA lands across the city and settle the playgrounds while in this regards pressure will not be accepted.
We will go to great lengths to make the operation against encroachment a success. These were expressed by DG KDA during his visit to Korangi Sector 36 and 36 / A UC22.
On this occasion, the DG KDA directed the Executive Engineers to verify the illegal constructions on government lands in Korangi and to start the process of demolition on emergency basis by identifying the illegal constructions, the Supreme Court said.
He said that orders will be complied with and no interference will be tolerated in the proceedings against encroachments. Asif Ali Memon said, Relevant authorities should ensure this and submit written report to the DG’s office on daily basis.
He said that we have to focus on the development of the city of Karachi and the welfare of the citizens.
It is the duty of all of us to believe in practical measures and to provide possible facilities to the citizens through mutual cooperation and consensus instead of spending verbally.
Director General KDA further said that, In order to provide recreational and healthy facilities to the citizens of Karachi, the organization has started the process of setting up playgrounds and amusement parks using full resources.
