Under the supervision of Director General KDA, Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, effective measures are being taken to eradicate encroachments on KDA lands across the city.

Yesterday, illegal shops and several structures in Korangi No. 6 Sector 44 / A were demolished by heavy machinery.

The spokesman said that Syed Muhammad Ali Shah had reiterated his commitment that the government lands would be handed over to the rightful owners after relinquishing possession to the mafia.

KDA lands were allotted to Babar Market allotments as an alternative. Allottees has paid 25% of the allotment amount to Karachi Development Authority.

It is to be noted that the Occupy Mafia, through China Cutting, prepared fake documents and turned the land into a market, in which about 28 illegal shops were built.

At the suggestion of the concerned authorities, DG KDA Muhammad Ali Shah directed to take immediate action on urgent basis to end the encroachments in Korangi Town.

During the operation, illegal shops were demolished using heavy machinery including anti-encroachment personnel and the land was taken into government custody.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Director State and Enforcement while local administration including law enforcement agencies were also present. Deputy Commissioner Korangi Town and other officers were present.
