A Group of Journalists hosted a farewell ceremony in honor of Akram Sattar, the recently retired spokesperson for the Karachi Development Authority (KDA).
The event saw the participation of senior journalists Shahzad Chughtai, Tanveer Syed, Changez Khan, Ahmed Ali, Rao Ghaffar, and Imran Ali Shah, alongside employees from the media department.
During the ceremony, veteran journalist Shahzad Chughtai lauded Akram Sattar’s exceptional performance and dedication to the KDA. He highlighted Sattar’s consistent cooperation with representatives from both print and electronic media throughout his service, commending his valuable contributions to the authority.
Tanveer Syed, another senior journalist, remarked that Akram Sattar successfully fostered a positive image of the KDA among citizens after the authority’s restoration in 2016, acknowledging his widely recognized professional capabilities.
Imran Ali Shah credited Akram Sattar’s tireless efforts and endeavors for elevating the KDA’s standing among civic bodies.
He emphasized Sattar’s robust promotional campaigns across print and electronic media, which played a crucial role in restoring the KDA’s damaged reputation and ultimately helped the authority regain its lost credibility.
Akram Sattar, expressing gratitude to the journalists, shared that he encountered numerous challenges during his service to the KDA but never lost hope.
He affirmed his commitment to honestly and sincerely contributing to the authority’s betterment to the best of his ability.
The ceremony concluded with journalists presenting Akram Sattar with a cake and a bouquet of flowers as a token of appreciation.
