On the special instructions of Director General Karachi Development Authority Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, following the orders of the Supreme Court, a grand operation against encroachments is underway.

In the ongoing operation against encroachments in Mujahid Colony, the local administration, police and KDA Estate and Enforcement staff is demolishing the illegal constructions .

In the ongoing operation from November 7, 2022, 60 percent of the work has been completed and about 40 percent of the remaining work will be completed soon.

KDA Estate and Enforcement staff is carrying out operations against encroachments without fear and danger under leadership of Additional Director Jameel Baloch .

In the operation so far, 34 houses and 56 shops in Wahid Colony, while 84 houses and 104 shops in Mujahid Colony Phase 1, 50 houses have been demolished in Mujahid Colony Phase 2.
At Mujahid Colony 150 feet road site, the occupants were living without any official documents, Despite issuing several notices and informing them through advertisements in newspapers, the occupants were not ready to cooperate.

The survey of the demolished houses is in progress, The survey of about 150 houses has been completed, the staff of Estate and Enforcement is busy in the survey work.

However DG KDA issued directives to present report of action against illegal constructions on daily basis.
