KDA Employees Union Patron in Chief Navaid Anwer Siddiqui , Chairman Muhammad Abdul Maroof, President Nadeem Khokhar and General Secretary Dilawar Khan demanded DG KDA and Chief Security Officer KDA for raise in security of civic center Karachi building by considering the recent terrorists attacks in Karachi.
Navaid Anwer said that in Civic Center not only KDA but K-Electric, Excise, Banks including other department employees are working and to ensure proper security arrangements is the responsibility of KDA.
Chairman Employees Union shared that more than ten thousand people visit this place on daily basis and metal detectors , walk through gates are non-functional , he urged department should ensure to provide these security devices to ensure fool proof security of building.
He demanded DG KDA Asif Ikram to raise the number of employees in security department as present staff is insufficient for whole area.
He asked to make these arrangements on priority basis to get the place safer and be able to resist in case of any terrorist attack.
