In a significant move toward enhancing efficiency and transparency, the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Land Management Department Director Asif Raza Chandio has officially implemented a system-generated barcode requirement on all approval of note sheets related to the Land Management KDA files.
According to an official circular issued on Wednesday from the office of Director Land KDA, it is now mandatory for every note sheet submitted for approval to carry a barcode on the top right corner of its first page. This barcode will be generated by the IT Directorate.
The primary aim of this step is to streamline file tracking, promote transparency, and ensure inter-departmental accountability.
The circular clearly states that no file will be processed without the official barcode, and any such submissions will be returned immediately. All departments are directed to coordinate closely with the Director IT for prompt integration and implementation of the barcode system.
The directive, signed by the Director, Land Management KDA, has been circulated to relevant officers including the Director (Recoveries), Director (IT), Additional Directors of Land Management KDA, and the Incharge Barcode. Copies have also been sent to the Director General KDA, Secretary KDA, Member (Admin) KDA, and for official record.
This reform is seen as a vital step toward digital transformation and operational modernization within the KDA.
