Jinnah Sindh Medical University hosted the National Licensing Exam (NLE) held under the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) on January 21 and 22, 2022.

A total of 109 candidates from the Sindh Province participated in the NLE Step II exam. Representative PMC Dr Sana supervised the examination, alongwith Acting Controller Examination Anita Shah who is the focal person from JSMU for the NLE. Anita explained that JSMU had provided the venue, invigilation, equipment, and resources, while PMC set the paper and examiners.

The Dean of Medicine Professor Masroor Ahmed who is looking after the University affairs currently, visited the examination centers to review arrangements and said that NLE is a fair method to demonstrate patient-centered skills and assess a physician’s ability to apply knowledge, concepts, and principles.

He also said that JSMU is proud to assist PMC in performing this national duty of holding the NLE.
