IBCC organized workshop for implementation on new grading scheme in Sindh

The Inter Boards-Coordination Commission (IBCC) organized a transformative workshop dedicated to the implementation of the new grading scheme for Sindh Examination Boards on November 14, 2023. The Chairmen Boards and their examination and IT department heads participated in the workshop.

The primary focus of the workshop was to deliberate and strategize the effective implementation of the 10-point new grading scheme designed to enhance the assessment and evaluation process for students. Amidst insightful discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, the workshop provided a platform for participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of the new grading scheme.

Mr. Mujeeb ur Rehman Qazi, System Analys BISE Multan gave a comprehensive presentation on key features of new grading scheme and the changes that follow after its implementation. Mr. Aqeel Imran, Controller FBISE, Islamabad shared the experience of implementation in his Board and the challenges faced during implementation.

Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, National Coordinator IBCC/Chairman BSE Karachi expressed during the workshop that with the evolving landscape of education, it is imperative to adapt our assessment systems to better serve the needs of our students.

Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Executive Director IBCC expressed that the event witnesses an overwhelming response and reflects the commitment Sindh Examination Boards towards embracing progressive changes aimed at enhancing the quality of education and assessment.

Ms Raana Hussain, Provincial Education Minister Sind graced the occasion with her presence as Chief Guest and expressed her pleasure for witnessing the remarkable strides taken in the field of education in Sindh in her concluding remarks.

She also expressed that the progress made is nothing short of commendable, reflecting the dedication and collective efforts of educators and administrators of exam boards.

She further stressed on initiatives focusing on teacher training and their capacity building to significantly enhance the quality of education.
