New Karachi Industrial Area (NKIA) Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested lady among four in the sector 6/B Industrial area for demanding extortion and carrying cards of fake media organisations and getting affixed a ‘press’ sticker on the motorcycle.
The group were involved in collecting extortion from Muhammad Ameen factory owner within the jurisdiction of said Police Station . It was learned that the group were demanding thirty thousand rupees extortion money from the factory owner and while taking the second and final installment of extortion money police team reached on the spot and arrested lady Naila, Dawood, Dilshad and Shahid .
On the Other hand Spokesman CRA- Crime Reporters Association in a press Statement urged police for action against the persons who are blackmailing people and demanding extortion on the name of media and assured for full support from CRA .
Asif Munawwar SHO New Karachi Industrial Area Police Station informed that the investigation of said arrested persons handed over to other law enforcement agency agency. Police just arrested them and lodge FIR on the request of complainant, he added.
