MQM Pakistan Senator Faisal Sabzwari has submitted constitutional amendments to the Senate Secretariat for the system of local government in the country in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution and to serve the people in an efficient manner.

On this occasion, Faisal Sabzwari said that these proposed constitutional amendments are proposed in Article 140 of the Constitution which includes the formation of local government in the country, new elections within 90 days of the expiration of their term, political, financial and administration responsibilities and powers are clearly outlined while the formation of the Provincial Finance Commission is also included.

Senator Faisal Sabzwari expressed the expectation that as soon as these amendments are presented in the Senate after the official proceedings of the Senate Secretariat, this House will discuss the proposed amendments for access of services to the general public and will pave the way for its inclusion in law.
