Abbottabad : Former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Basheer Ahmed Jahangiri passed away. His funeral prayer will be held today at Banda lal khan, District Mansehra.

He served as 13th Chief Justice of Pkaistan. Justice jahangiri remained Chief Justice of Pakistan from 7 Jan to 31 Jan 2002. He was born in District Mansehra in the year 1937.

He Started law practice at Mansehra court. Later on he joined judiciary as civil judge and rose to the rank of Chief justice of Pakistan.

He was first and only CJP from Hazara Division. Lawyers comunity expressed grief on his sad demise and called him ” proud son of Hazara Division.
