Karachi (APP) :A three-day Pakistan Peace Festival organized by the All Pakistan Church Association was held at Saudabad Mahfooz Stadium in Karachi with the participation of more than 3,000 men and women belonging to the Christian community.
This is the first time that such a large open gathering event has been organized by the Christian community.
DG Rangers (Sindh) Major General Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry attended the closing ceremony of the Peace Festival as the chief guest. Pastor Atiq Bhatti, President of All Pakistan Church Association, the organizer of the program, welcomed the DG Rangers to the event.
Expressing his views on the occasion, DG Rangers Sindh said that unity and inter-religious harmony among other religions including Christian community is the cause of stability of Pakistan. DG Rangers also appreciated the services of the Christian community in various walks of life.
The Christian community welcomed the arrival of DG Rangers Sindh and lauded the sacrifices made by the Rangers for maintaining law and order in the city.
At the end of the ceremony, special prayers were offered by the Christian community for the prosperity and development of Pakistan.
