DG KDA Personal Staff Officer Muhammad Zubair reportedly got two lac seventy thousand rupees from the department for flag hoisting ceremony for independence day celebration at Civic Center.
It was learned that Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has not presented budget of the year 2020-21 and not even the session of governing body held for the approval of budget till yet.
Sources informed that Muhammad Zubair allegedly took the amount from additional director budget through influencing him and ordering him for the release of said amount.
Moreover Sources also informed that the said officer involve in taking heavy amount as a commission by using name of DG KDA from the contractor who decorate the building of civic center on every independence day.
Whereas the said officer is also involved in violating the orders of Top Court by performing duties on two posts at a time, but DG KDA is not taking any action against the said person.
KDA on the other hand is facing severe financial crisis as the department has not paid the salary of employees for two months , so it is a question mark on management that how they could release the said amount when they have no money for paying salaries and pension and taking grant from sindh government on monthly basis.
