On the directives of Deputy Commissioner South Irshad Ali Sodhar, Christian Community Celebrated Easter at St Patrick Church in Karachi with simplicity by avoiding congregations at church.

DC South also participated in the ceremony and distributed cash and ration (grocery) among the needy people of the community.

Whereas cash was provided by the Deputy Commissioner South to those deserving people who were pointed by the Priest of Church.

While sharing views Irshad Ali Sodhar paid thanks to the religious leaders for encouraging people to celebrate the holy festival Easter at homes. Moreover, he added that by celebrating holy festival at homes Christian Community has also supported the aim of Sindh Government to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Dc South stated that, If people want to end this pandemic, we should have to celebrate our holy festivals at homes to avoid gatherings as the virus spreads rapidly from human to human body.

He urged Citizens to stay at home until the spread of COVID-19 would not stop. However, he expressed hope that People from all over Pakistan would stand with Government in the fight against Coronavirus.
