Drinking water shortage problem occurred at ancient Dur Muhammad village of Malir seriously due to that villagers have become deprived of the bless like water and are thirsty in intensely hot weather.

In this regards journalists of Awami Press club Malir visited the village and took details of villager’s issues where village young people Parvez Amin, Haseeb Shah, Irfan, Abdul Sattar, Comrade Ghulam Muhammad and others told to journalists that water supply is available at Dur Muhammad village from DCK by which water is provided to all habitants but two big Mohala’s Dermani and Markani are bereft from water supply due to the line system damaged. They told that in this hot weather they have become constrained to fetch water from far and wide.

They said that they have complained many time to district councillor of area and others but no one is ready and taking interest to resolve their issues.

They further told that water shortage problem is since 2003 cause of increasing population of village where still no new connections have been set up.

They demand from DCK Chairman Salman Abdullah Murad and other concerned officers to repair line system of water supply machine and new connections should be set up into being populated village soon.

On the other hand General Councillor Liaqat Balouch told that damaged bore is being repaired and tender has been issued regarding new connections just work is delayed due to the lock down.
