An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner South Captain (R) Abdul Sattar Issani regarding various markets and shopping mall of the district, and their parking and overall security.
The meeting was attended by officers of police, traffic police, and administration of KMC, DMC and trade associations. The meeting also reviewed security arrangements in markets, shopping centers and parking areas in detail in view of the recent two terrorist incidents in the district.
On the occasion, DC South said that illegal parking on the roads of major shopping centers of the district should be stopped and there should be no obstruction in the traffic.
He directed that the police force should be increased outside the commercial centers and bazaars of the district and officers should be deployed in civilian clothes and in this regard trade associations should cooperate with the district administration.
DC South directed the concerned staff to activate all the CCTV cameras. He also directed the management of shopping malls to make the arrangements for checking at the entry gates of shopping malls more effective. It was informed during the meeting that eight persons involved in illegal parking have been arrested from various area of the district and cases have been registered against them.
