DG KDA Nasir Abbas Soomro has reportedly put unannounced ban on the entry of public and jounalists on first floor of civic center.
Sources informed that DG took the said step after reports of some positive COVID-19 cases and completely ban the entry at first floor.
Whereas on the other hand City News observed that majority of staff and public in Civic Center Karachi are not following SOPs due to this there is possibility of COVID-19 spread .
However KDA is facing severe financial crisis till yet and the newly posted DG has not taken any significant steps for the financial stability of department .
An officer of Karachi Development Authority-KDA on anonymity of name stated that the officers and employees of KDA are hoping for the betterment of department but the issues are stand still.
Moreover he urged DG KDA to take steps for the implementation of SOPs and to also take measures for the financial stability of department.
