Registrar Sindh High Court on Friday directed Secretary Health and Secretary Home Department Sindh for fumigation in jails of Sindh province in view of the spreading of Coronavirus epidemic.

It was written on the said letter which forwarded to the top officials of Sindh Government that “ The Hon’ble Chief Justice has been pleased to direct that proper fumigation, sterilization and other necessary precautionary measures be urgently taken in all the jail premises in Sindh”.

Whereas Sindh High Court (SHC) also directed to stop the unnecessary entry of public in the jail premises.

On the other hand to save prisoners from the spread of Corona Virus Inspector General Sindh Prisoners on Friday decided for sixty days remission to the prisoners in all Sindh Jails.

In a letter to the Superintendent of Prisons in all over Sindh Jails Nusrat Hussain Mangan IG Prisoners award special remission for sixty days to the convicted prisoners confined in Prisons & C.F of Sindh Province due to prevailing situation of Corona Virus in country.

However, those prisoners who convicted for Espionage, Anti State Activities, Subversion, Terrorism, KaroKari, NAB & Foreigner Act could not avail the said remission.
