Sindh Information and Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that the appointment of administrator is entirely the prerogative of the provincial government and there is no constitutional obligation to consult the federation or the opposition.

According to Nasir Hussain Shah, the Sindh government is holding consultations regarding the appointment of an administrator in Karachi and the public will be informed of the final decision soon.

The Sindh Local Government Minister said that it is their duty to appoint a sympathetic officer for the city of Karachi.

Priority will be given to those who are aware of the problems and issues of the city as well as the public suffering.

Nasir Shah clarified that the opposition and the federal government should support us in taking steps for the welfare of the people so that the devastation caused by the torrential rains and natural calamities could be averted.

Nasir Hussain Shah further said that The deployment process of district officials will also be completed soon.
