[dropcap]A[/dropcap]irport Police Station team today early morning foiled delivery of betel nuts and raw material for manufacturing of gutka, Mawa and Mainpuri which worth Millions.
Kaleem Moosa Station House officer of Airport Police Station informed that on Sunday early morning Police team during the snap checking stopped the truck which was on the way to Badin.
When the Police conducted a search in the truck huge quantity of chemical approximately 150 Kilogram and other raw material which could be used for the making of Gutka, Mainpuri & Mawa found inside it. However 750 bags of betel nuts also found inside the truck, he said.
Further, he stated accused namely Kamran arrested along with the said items which Police has taken into the custody along with the truck.
SHO revealed that the recovered items worth millions in the local market and it would be delivered in Badin district to different manufacturers of smokeless tobacco.
It was learned that the crackdown against the manufacturing and sale of smokeless tobacco including gutka, mawa, Mainpuri and others underway by Sindh Police on the orders of Sindh High Court.
