On the occasion of the International Day for Living Together in Peace, prominent Pakistani-American social and business figure Abdul Rauf Bhally highlighted the importance of adopting a culture of peaceful coexistence for the prosperity and development of all societies around the world. He said that nations that promote social, political, and economic tolerance to nurture peace are progressing at a much faster pace.
Commenting on recent regional tensions, he stated that the ongoing strain between Pakistan and India has brought peace in South Asia under discussion. However, he stressed that both nations should engage in dialogue-based diplomacy to resolve their issues.
Mr. Bhally praised the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump in promoting peace, noting that President Trump had made peace the cornerstone of his administration’s international policy and had opposed the rise of war-like conditions in the region.
He also appreciated the newly elected Pope Leo of the Christian community, who expressed happiness over the ceasefire efforts between India and Pakistan and shared a heartfelt message of peace to the world.
