Deputy Inspector General (DIG) West Irfan Baloch, along with SSP West Tariq Mastoi and other law enforcement agencies, visited the cattle market Northern Bypass and reviewed the security arrangements.
Talking to the media, DIG West Irfan Baloch ensured foolproof security arrangements for visitors.He said not a single robbery incident has took place since last three years due to the efforts of the police.
Irfan Baloch said more than 1,000 police personnel and commandos will be deployed on the routes of the cattle market. Irfan Baloch said that the LEA is in constant contact with the cattle market administration.
He said Security will be deployed on all routes including Gulshan e Maymar and Northern Bypass.
He informed that control room has been set up to monitor the situation .
DIG West said Rangers will also perform security duties along with the police while CTD and Special Branch personnel will also be deployed for security of citizens.
He concluded that districts adjacent to the Northern Bypass will also be included in the security system.
Administrator Cattle Market Shahab Ali said due to the closure of roads in Sindh, the animals of traders who want to come to the Karachi Northern Bypass cattle market are stuck on the roads. The Sindh rout for those coming to Karachi are closed. The National Highway of Qazi Ahmed is closed.
The Babar Lo sit-in protesters had given time till 6 pm today. If the issues is likely resolved and hopeful the sit-ins will end.
A large number of trucks loaded with sacrificial animals will resume its journey toward central Cattle Market Karachi.
He hoped that Cattle Market is peak in coming days.
Administrator Shahab Ali further said that he visited Sukkur to stranded traders and provided water and food to traders.
On this occasion, SSP West Tariq Mastoi, officials of other law enforcement agencies and the spokesperson of Cattle Market Umm e Aiman were also present.
