Karachi; A meeting was held under the presidentship of Transition Officer District East Naveed Khan Kolachi in view of the expected rains in which town chairmen, Dr. Fawad Ahmed, Rashid Khaskheli and Rizwan Abdul Sami, town municipal commissioners Javed Kalwar, Ammar Khan, Imtiaz Magsi, officers of the Defunct DMC East, water board and elected local bodies representatives attended the meeting.
Focal Person Tauqeer Abbas, Superintending Engineer, Mubeen Sheikh and Senior Executive Engineer Imtiaz Bhutto briefed the participants about drains, dewatering pumps and other arrangements on the occasion and assured that in rain emergency, staff and machinery will be available for drainage work who will perform duties especially in places where there is a possibility of drainage problems.
Various issues related to rain emergency were identified by the elected local bodies representatives, for which orders were issued on the spot for resolving the problems.
On the occasion, Transition Officer Naveed Khan Kolachi said that the choking points of the drains should be cleared immediately,kmc should be taken on board to play its role to ensure the execution of the works in those drains which pertains to him.

just as we have served in Eid-ul-Azha through mutual coordination, we will also serve in rain emergency and the best thing is that this time we will also get the guidance of the elected representatives of the local bodies, the complaint centers should be kept fully functional so that the redressal of complaints received can be made possible in time.
