British Council in collaboration of DMC East organised awareness and training session for promotion of girls education
Karachi: In collaboration with Theory Y and British Council an awareness program was organized with the students and teachers of DMC East under Mere Behna, My Sister Project in which Administrator DMC East, Syed Shakeel Ahmed, Focal Person Imtiaz Bhutto attended and discussed its importance in terms of the nature of the project.
Under the said project, experts provided awareness about the importance of education of girls, career counseling, mental, financial and health counseling, in which the importance of education for girls was specially focused. Project Head, Kiran Zubairi explained the salient points while providing awareness about the project.
On this occasion, Administrator East Syed Shakeel Ahmed said that the name of Mere Behna,my sister project is pure and loving, it would be excessive if it is not to declare this project ideal, he said that this project is a role model in the promotion of girls’ education. The education of girls is very important because it is equivalent to the education of a generation not just for a woman.
Director Education Sher Ali, expert teachers, girls and teachers of DMC East schools were also present on this occasion.
In addition, Administrator Syed Shakeel Ahmed inspected the work of painting the walls near safari park by the private color company and described it as a good initiative to highlight the beauty of the city and directed that beautiful paint work should also be done on the over head bridge near Safari Park University Road.
