The KDA management on Wednesday signed an agreement with Private Security company with the aim of providing better security arrangements for Civic center building, despite of financial crisis and availability of security staff in the department.
According to official press release of Karachi Development Authority (KDA) private security company would ensure ban of unknown person in civic center, install walk through gates and CCTV cameras for monitoring.
City News Correspondent contact different Labour Union leaders of KDA for opinion regarding agreement signing with private company, Sajid Hasan organizing Secretary KDA workers union termed this agreement wastage of money and he said department financial condition will get more worse due to payment to private security company.
He informed that Security department is already available in KDA with experienced staff .
He stated that this agreement is just to make Commission as there was no need of private staff because KDA security department staff are performing their duties with dedication and honesty.
It was learned that KDA is getting monthly grant of 280 Million rupees from Sindh Government for the payment of employees monthly salaries.
On the other hand Yasir Ali Khan Information Secretary KDA Employees Union said that private and equipped security personnals are the need of hour as Thousands of people including employees visit Civic center on a daily basis .
