District Metropolitan Corporation is an local department whose annual budget is in billions but it has neglected local villages where Sabdad village, Aasoo village, Sharafi village, Gul Muhammad Kalmaty and others areas are deprived from roads, sewerage, sanitation and other progressive schemes.
Water is stagnated before houses, streets, schools and masjids in a large level from 3 months which has not been drained yet.
In this regards residents of mentioned areas Shahzad, Ibrahim Kalmaty and others talked with journalists complaining and showed them big masjid Norani and houses, roads of Union Committee Aasoo village, Bakra piri and Sharafi village and said that they can not live in their villages with content due to the bad smell of stagnant sewerage filthy water even people face a lot of trouble going masjid for prayer, this conditions of said habitations are from last 3 years.
They said that masjid doesn’t belong to any political party but this water is stagnated from last 3 months, many times they have complained to elected local representatives in written but they don’t take interest to resolve their issues.
They further said that DMC Malir has annual budget in billions but where money is expended nobody asks from them even Anit-Corruption Team raided on DMC Office once and collected significance testimonials but matter was closed after deal.
They demanded from Government of Sindh to support local urban habitations and warned that if sewage filthy water is not drained and work of developing schemes is not commenced in mentioned areas then they will protest before DMC Office.
