The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday submitted an application with Race Course police station for the registration of first information report (FIR) against policemen who launched “assault” on former PM Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore a day earlier.
PML-N chief organiser Maryam Nawaz and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah were also nominated in the application submitted by Owais Ahmed, a caretaker of Imran’s Lahore residence, reported Express News.
The names of Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Punjab IG Usman Anwar, Lahore CCPO Siddique Kamyana, DIG Operations Afzal Kausar, SSP Operations Suhaib Ashraf and other senior police officials are also nominated in the application.
According to sources, the application carried details of items including “licensed weapons” seized by police officials during the raid.
The complainant also alleged in the application that the police team also took away Rs50,000 from the employees of Imran’s residence, they added.

The plea stated that clothes, 10 pairs of uniforms, staff documents, ATM cards, perfumes, hair dryer machines, 9 SMG guns and two pistols were seized by the police.
License numbers of arms and details of bullets are also mentioned in the application, the sources said.
The Punjab police on Saturday stormed into the PTI chief’s Lahore home, knocking down all barricades and doors to launch a ‘surprise’ search operation inside the property soon after Imran left for Islamabad to appear before a court.
Footage showed cranes breaking through the main gate of the Zaman Park residence as rock-ribbed loyalists held their ground in a protest camp outside and scuffled with officials.
The search warrants shared by police obtained under Section 47 of CrPC read, “investigating officer is directed to accompany a lady police officer not below the rank of inspector at the time of search of a requisite house in accordance with law”.
