Delegation of Young Nurses Association (YNA) Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) Unit met with Medical Superintendent Professor Zahid Azam on thursday to discuss the issues of Nurses which they are facing on the field especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Focal Person Pervaiz Arain, Chairman Zakaria Nawaz, President Zaman, Media Coordinator Rauf Mugheri, Information Secretary Sheeraz Ali, Finance Secretary Kifayat Khokhar and head nurse were included in the delegation of YNA who met with the Medical Superintendent.
Issues which discussed in the meeting are including COVID-19 risk allowance, 10% Adhoc relief allowance, Mess and Uniform Allowance, Health Professional Allowance, Promotion, upgradation , service structure and self-respect of nurses.
Rauf Mugheri Media Coordinator of YNA informed that Medical Superintendent of Dow Ojha Campus assured the delegation for redressal of said issues within five days.
He shared that till the next five days nurses would perform their work by wearing black armbands.
Moreover, he stated that after Tuesday YNA will announce to protest in case the said issues would not resolve.
Further, he added that representatives of Dow University Officer welfare association and Dow University Employees welfare association expressed their solidarity with YNA for these demands and assured for their support.
