YDA Sindh urges to revoke suspension of SMBB Medical University Larkana students
Young Doctors Association (YDA) Sindh President Dr. Roshan Chandio and General Secretary Dr. Mehboob Noonari in a press statement urged to the Vice-Chancellor of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University Larkana to quickly revoke the suspension of students, or else YDA Sindh will strongly protest against this injustice.
They told in a press statement, YDA believe that a university’s main goal is to provide education to its students, along with all necessary support, If a student needs something, they can ask the designated clerk for help, However, it’s absolutely wrong for a clerk, who gets paid to work in a university meant for students’ benefit, to harm those very students who support their livelihood.
Raising a hand against students and causing them harm is shameful and unacceptable, said General Secretary YDA Sindh.
Moreover he told that,YDA Sindh strongly condemns the behavior of these clerks and urge the Vice-Chancellor of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University Larkana to file complaints against the guilty clerks and prevent them from entering the university.
He also request the Chief Minister of Sindh to take quick action and remove the clerk from his job, It’s essential to make it clear that the university exists for the well-being of students, and any mistreatment of them will not be tolerated.
Further he shared, We need to create an environment where students don’t live in fear.
Students were subjected to oppression; they were injured and not provided with essential things, and in the end, Students were unfairly suspended, he added.
YDA General Secretary said that , This is the peak of cruelty, The administration should have first fired that clerk instead of taking disciplinary action against the student, Young Doctors Association (YDA) Sindh is expressing deep sadness and anguish, stating that the administration conspired with the clerk for blackmailing and harassing the students.
Furthermore, YDA General Secretary asked the Vice-Chancellor to investigate other clerks who are hostile or harass students and If anyone is found responsible for such actions, they should be fired and sent home.
