YDA ready to collaborate with Government to address healthcare sector challenges in Sindh ;Dr. Meboob Noonari

 

 Chairman YDA Sindh Dr. Mehboob Noonari and President YDA Sindh Dr. Roshan Chandio hold a press conference at the Karachi Press Club along with central cabinet members Dr. Rana Dildar, Dr. Mehran Shar, President YDA LUMHS Dr. Mir Afzal, Karachi Division General Secretary Dr. Hamza Suhail including others.

During the media briefing, Dr. Roshan Chandio presented the Charter of Demands to the health department and highlighted the issues of Doctors.

Whereas Young Doctors Association (YDA) Office bearers asked for relief in the budget for healthcare providers and emphasized all issues outlined in the Charter of Demands, including the deputation policy, the MLO cadre and an increase in pay for HOs, PGS, and MOs .

It was learned that YDA asked Government of Sindh Health Department for announcement of Dental surgeon seats through SPSC, announcement of MLO and Special Cadre seats, Deputation policies for postgraduate students, improved working conditions for healthcare workers and health facilities, Increase in salaries and benefits for house officers/ postgraduate students and medical students, immediate attention for improvement and expansion of healthcare infrastructure in the province.

However, the YDA office bearers also emphasized reforms in medical education and training reforms to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the population, legal protection for healthcare workers to ensure their safety and well being in the workplace, organizing of seminars to raise awareness about oral health and community health issues.

The YDA office bearers asked the Sindh Government that they are ready to collaborate with the government and other stakeholders to address the challenges facing by the healthcare sector in Sindh and they also call for immediate dialogue and cooperation that benefit both the government and healthcare workers.
