A significant meeting took place between YDA Chairman, Dr. Mehboob Noonari, and a delegation of medical professionals, including Karachi General Secretary Dr. Hamza Sohail, JPMC YDA Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Ali, Abbasi , NICH President Dr. Fayaz Bhutt and General Secretary, Dr. Sanagar.
The meeting focused on pressing healthcare matters, including:
1. Deputation and Security Bill: Discussions centered around the need for enhanced security measures for medical professionals and the importance of a deputation policy to ensure their safety.
2. MLO Bill: The delegation deliberated on the Medicolegal Ordinance (MLO) Bill, emphasizing the need for reforms to protect doctors from harassment and ensure a smooth functioning of medical services.
3. Pay Enhancement: The meeting also addressed the long-standing demand for pay enhancement for medical professionals, highlighting the need for fair compensation and incentives to motivate healthcare workers (house officers, Post graduate trainees, mos, special cadr, faculty)
4. Enhancement of dental seeds: Exploring innovative ways to improve dental education and research, ensuring the next generation of dental professionals is equipped to tackle complex oral health issues.
The YDA Chairman and the delegation of medical professionals reiterated their commitment to working together to address these critical issues and improve the healthcare landscape in Pakistan.
