Without the leadership of Quaid e Azam Muslims could not achieved their separate State, Says Rehana Roohi
Karachi: The death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah was commemorated with great affection and respect In this connection, Quran Khawani for the soul of Quaid-e- Azam was held at Quaid-e-Azam Academy. After Quran Khawani, Mushaira was arranged in his memory. In his introductory remarks, Director, Quaid-e-Azam Academy, Karachi .Zahid Hussain Abro said that due to far-sightedness and political insight of Quaid-e-Azam, the Muslims of India got independence.
He gave the motto of unity, faith and discipline to Muslims. By following his dictum, Pakistan can be brought on track of development and prosperity. Prominent poetess Rehana Roohi presided over the Mushaira. Other poets including A.H. Khanzada, Naeem Sameer, Dr. Hina Ambreen and Khalid Moin presented their poetry and paid glowing tribute to Quaid-e-Azam.
On this occasion, Rehana Roohi said that without the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam, Muslims would not have achieved their separate State. She said that freedom is a blessing which is priceless. At the end, Arshad Malik presented a documentary on the life of Quaid-e-Azam. Professor Zahid Hussain Mangi commended the services of Quaid and highlighted his role in the epic struggle during freedom movement. At the end of the event, Director, Zahid Hussain Abro thanked all the participants including poets and speakers.
