Watan Parast Labour Union KDA staged protest at Civic Center Karachi against ban on Re-hiring of Contract employees and timely payment of pension, funds including monthly salaries.
Protestors had marched all over the floors of civic and chanted slogans for the redressal of said issue.
It was learned that more than fifty retired army employees who were performing their duties in KDA Security department on contract basis were also present in the protest.
Whereas large number of women teachers contract employees of KDA were also present in the protest, whose contract of employment had ended and now they and their families are facing severe financial crisis.
However PSP Labour Federation Incharge Nadeem Khan, Central Joint Waseem Azeem Zahoor and other office bearers & members of Watan Parast Union had participated in the protest and urged management for the redressal of contract and permanent employees issues on a priority basis.
On the Occasion Syed Imran Hussain Jafri Patron in Chief of Watan Parast Union stated that, “We stand with every employee of KDA who is facing any kind of injustice at workplace” .
Moreover he vowed that the Watan Parast Union would continue its support for the rights of Karachi Development Authority Employees.
President of Union Waseem Khan, General Secretary Zeeshan Malik, Vice president Qamar Sheikh, Senior Joint Naseem Ansari, Spokesman Yasir Ali Khan and large numbers of KDA Employees had participated in the protesting rally.
On the other hand protestors staged Sit-in in front of DG KDA Dr Saif ur Rehman office, however on the absence of DG the delegation of Watan Parast Union presented the charter of demands to Abdul Qadeer Mangi Member (A).
Whereas on the assurance for the redressal of issues by Qadeer Mangi protest were finished after almost two hours.
Speaking with City News Patron in Chief of union said that the union would stage Sit-in in front of Karachi Press Club if the issues of employees would remain unresolve.
