Two health facilities run by quacks are sealed by the Anti Quackery Team in two different locations of district central here on Tuesday.
On receiving complaints in District Health Office Central, DHO Dr Muzzafar Odho ordered strict action against quacks.
On directions of DHO, Dr Hira Zaheer, Focal Person Anti Quackery raided two different places in areas of North Karachi and Liaquatabad and found quacks practicing medicine.
Dr Hira Zaheer sealed two clinics and warned another one for improvements. “One clinic was being run by a matriculate girl while other by an OT technician,” She told.
Quacks will not be allowed to play with health of masses. All quacks in their own interest should immediately close their health centres otherwise be ready for strict action, she warned.
Only registered practitioners at a health facility registered by the Sindh Healthcare Commission can provide health care services to patients, Dr Hira Zaheer stressed.
