A Training of Trainers on Tobacco Control for KDA Information Technology Department officials and Employees held on Tuesday at the office of Director IT Karachi Development Authority.
Kamal Siddiqui Director Information Technology & Focal Person Tobacco Smoke Free Karachi East chaired the session, where it was started after the recitation of Holy Quran.
Bilal Zafar District Coordinator Tobacco Control District East Karachi briefed participants about the Tobacco Smoke Free Cities an initiative of Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination.
However Muhammad Aftab joined the session via zoom from Islamabad and shed light on the existing laws of Tobacco Control in Pakistan and he also told participants about the worst effects of Second hand and third hand smoke.
Moreover he appreciated the role of Director IT Karachi Development Authority for arranging the session in this difficult time of Covid-19 and showing willingness to support this noble cause to make Karachi a smoke free model city.
Mr. Kamal praised the efforts of Tobacco Smoke Free Cities and vowed to support this noble cause to save our future generations from the deadly affects of Tobacco use.
At last the Information Technology Department has been declared Tobacco Smoke Free Zone after the inauguration of Smoke Free place which has fixed at the entrance of Information Technology Department.
