TMC Gadap Chairman pays homage to victims of Karsaz tragedy
Karachi : Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) Gadap Chairman Tariq Aziz Baloch said that today 16 years have passed since the Karsaz tragedy happened when Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was welcomed by the gathering at Karachi while coming back to Pakistan on 18th October 2007.
The families of the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy are still saddened by remembering their loved ones, he added.
Further he said that those Jiyala workers who were with us day and night for party work were martyred on the same day, The political struggle and history of PPP is full of sacrifices.
Terrorism like Karsaz incident was never happened in the history of the country, we have never forgot the martyred workers of Karsaz and we will never forget them, 130 workers were martyred in this terrible incident of terrorism in the rally held on the arrival of former Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan.
Vice Chairman Jam Muhammad Jokhio said that the sacrifice of these martyrs of PPP will not go in vain, this journey of democracy will continue.
On this occasion, Member Abdul Sattar Jokhio, Member Dad Karim Baloch, Member Murtaza Yar Muhammad Baloch, Member Muhammad Rafiq Jokhio, Member Amin Dad Jokhio, Member Ali Muhammad Gabol, Danish Burfat and Town Municipal Commissioner Ahmed Yar, Chief Accounts Officer Iftikhar Ahmad Dayo, Superintendent Engineer Mumtaz Ali Zardari, Director Purchase Sohail yar Khan, Director Taxes Zohaib Baloch, Deputy Director HRM Sarfraz Khatri, Director Sanitation Ashraf Baloch, Budget Officer Kashif Baloch and PA LaL Jan Nabi were also present.
