Three Employees of DUHS Suspended after inquiry report

After the report of the committee came out, formed by Vice Chancellor Dow University of Health Sciences Professor Muhammad Saeed Quraishy on the girls hostel incident, three employees of the university have been suspended till further orders while the additional responsibility of Chief Warden Girls Hostel has been withdrawn.

Separate notifications issued by Dow University Registrar Dr. Ashar Ashfaq said that the Associate Professor of Pathology has been relieved from the additional responsibilities of Chief Warden Girls Hostel Ojha Campus while Warden Girls Hostel Miss Saima Fawad, Lady Security Guards Razia Bibi and Kainat Bibi have been suspended.

Keeping in mind that on Wednesday, Dow University Vice Chancellor Prof Muhammad Saeed Quraishy had constituted a committee headed by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Kartar Dawani to inquire into the Ojha Campus Girls Hostel incident.

He submitted the report of the inquiry committee to the Vice-chancellor within 24 hours after which implementing the assurance given at the time of formation of the committee, the action has been taken against those who were responsible has been completed.

It is also worth mentioning here that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and directed Assistant Commissioner Gulshan-e-Iqbal Muhammad Ali Gopang to investigate the issue.

Assistant Commissioner Gulshan-e-Iqbal also rushed to Ojha Campus and met the parties of both sides.He also went to the hostel to get the details of the incident from the concerned students.

Later, he also discussed all the aspects of the incident with Prof. Kartar, the head of the inquiry committee. Expressing satisfaction over the steps taken, the report has been submitted to the Chief Minister of Sindh.
