The nation will always remember Liaquat Ali Khan services, Says Zahid Hussain Abro
The death anniversary of Quaid-i-Millat was commemorated with great affection and respect. In this connection, a Seminar was held on 16th October, 2023 at Quaid-i-Azam Academy, Karachi in which large number of people including world renowned cricket umpire Syed Mehboob Shah and Jilani Yousuf, Incharge Pakistan American Centre participated.
The event was commenced with recitation from the holy Quran. In his introductory remarks, Director, Quaid-i-Azam Academy, Karachi Zahid Hussain Abro said that Quaid-i-Millat was metaphor of steadfastness and highlighted his services and contribution towards the progress of Indian Muslims. Prfoessor Hafiz Naseemuddin in his speech said that Liaquat Ali Khan was right hand man of Quaid-i-Azam.
He urged that such programmes should be arranged in colleges and universities so that young generation may know the services and works of their leaders. Mr. Absar Ahmed, writer, researcher and broadcaster commended the services of Quaid-i-Millat and highlighted his role in the epic struggle during freedom movement and said that Liaquat Ali Khan never joined Congress. He said that Liaquat Ali Khan was well balanced and far-sighted person. Mr. Mehfoozun Nabi, General Secretary, Liaquat Memorial Society, Karachi said that even the opponents of Liaquat Ali Khan recognize his services.
He said that Liaquat Ali was the first leader who laid foundation of friendship with China by recognizing her thus provided basis of CPEC Plan. Eminent poet Qamaruzzaman Siddiqui through his poetry paid glowing tribute to Quaid-i-Millat which was appreciated by the audience. At the end of the event, Ajraks were presented to the speakers.
